This is probably a newbie question but here goes. I have several clients who purchase domain names from various registrars and give me access. I have been logging on to the registrar an changing the name server to point to my host elite server. Every time I try I struggle becuase host elite only has one name server IP identified and 2 are required to reset the domain at the registrar. I would like to create virtual name servers ns1.myname.com and ns2.myname com and use these out at the registrars but to do this I need to original name servers. With only one identified at host elite, I get stuck and need to resort to using ns1 and ns2.esecuresite.com rather than the myname domain for name servers. Can anyone guide me?

I've moved the thread because it was definitely not a How-To guide.

If Host Elite is your hosting company you should be asking them.

But you don't need an IP# to be identified in DA as a nameserver to use it.

If you have multiple IP#s for your server and they're being used for hosting, you can register two nameservers on two IP#s.
