To start with, I'm new to directadmin; I'm not the one who installed it, configured it, etc.
We have two subdomains that were added at the user level some time ago that we now wish to delete. When trying to delete the subdomains, we get the error message:
error read named db file
This also happens now when trying to create new subdomains. This certainly used to work.
We have added two additional external nameservers recently. There may have been other changes made to DNS recently, but I'm not the one who did them.
There are no custom named.db files. I'm not sure what exactly directadmin is looking for or where it's looking. I've searched through the forums and have seen references to rebuilding the named db file from named.db, but I don't know how to go about doing it.
This is obviously a newbie type question, so verbose answers in small words would be appreciated!
