Nameservers not responding..

Ok I am new to DA... My nameservers are

ns1.alliancedns.com and ns2.alliancedns.com the Ips are registered with the registrar.. the namerservers are assigned via the reseller area and they have ips assigned. The name servers are also set in the admin settings page. Named is running also.. Dnsstuff says..

I am our of ideas here... I have restarted DA and named.. and bind also.. Still says they are down or unreachable. I also checked the DNS setings on the domains zone and all is ok.

Did you check to see if there is a firewall blocking DNS (port 53)?

Well its a brand new server.. So I dont see why there would be a firewall blocking it. I have not installed one..

Depending on how your OS was installed it may very well have a default firewall. The default firewall for most distributions firewalls off DNS requests.
