hi,
I am still confusing about the nameservers in DA CP.
Currently i am not using nameservers.
After installing the DA, default nameservers created automatically.
eg : ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com.

If i do any domain setup on DA, DNS entries will be created atomatically right ??

If i want to change default nameserver names from ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com to something. How to do that ?

To which IP's the current nameservers are pointing to by default after installing the DA ??

Still I am not getting how to create new nameservers.

All domains are set up under users. All users are set up under resellers.

Under your reseller control panel click on Nameservers; you should see all you need.

If i want to create two NS as ns1.xyz.com and ns2.xyz.com, then there should be domain xyz.com present on the DA server ?
(while creating NS, have to select domain from listbox).

What is that virtual means ?

The nameservers can be on domains hosted anywhere, as long as they exist both at the domain registrar and at the server hosting DNS for them.

If they're not on your server you should set them up as virtual nameservers.

I think the flow is like this:
admin ( default ceated by DA) under this
reseller under this
user (domain).

I don't understand, I setup my name server in DA, but what do I enter in the registrar nameserver box?

You need to find reseller-specific instructions for adding nameservers at your domain registrar.

Adding nameservers is NOT the same as assigning nameservers. For each domain hosted on your server the nameservers you add must be assigned; generally there's a place to add them, usually without a required IP#, at the registrar account where the domain was registrared.

But before anyone can do that you have to make sure you have nameservers registered.

This differs from registrar to registrar; the only reasonable answer is to ask your registrar.
