Hi, I really need some help with post fix, i have a few servers that im playing with to learn more about all this but am having problems sending with postfix.
It will recieve any e-mails but when sending gives this error....

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'TEST 1', Account: 'mail.akm650.co.uk', Server: 'mail.akm650.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

This may be a really easy thing to sort out and i may look like a right spanner asking but if anyone knows why its doing this and what i need to do to fix it your help with be very appreciated

Matt

Matt,

Did you even check to see what kind of a forum you were posting in?

We're a support forum for the DirectAdmin Control Panel.

DirectAdmin doesn't use Postfix.

Our servers don't run Postfix.

We can't help you.

Jeff

I did yeah, but i thought someone might know and out of the kindness of their heart might help...

But if everyone is like yourself i guess not. :(
