I'm logged into my directadmin, and I changed my password, but now when the other owner of the site (both of us manage it) tries to get in, the password doesn't work anymore. There might have been a problem with the password change or maybe it doesn't change automatically. Either way, I can't log out of it or turn off my computer because I'll pretty much be shut out.

What can I do?!

I tried to change the password again, but it says that the current password is incorrect... Please help me.

Do this in ssh:
Code:
# passwd admin

This command will let you change the password of DirectAdmin's admin user.

What exactly do I do with this?

EDIT: Well apparently my host doesn't have SSH enabled...

You might have made an error in setting the new password. First type it out in notepad or similar...

then copy and paste it, and reset the admin password again.

Then have someone else try to make sure he/she can log in.

It's a little too late for that now...

I can only get the time to read the forum when I have the time. I'm sorry you didn't get a helpful answer earlier, and I'm sorry I couldn't give you a more helpful answer.

I thought you were going to keep the one shell open.

Have you been able to fix the issue?

Jeff
