Hi,
i'm having my server re-installed with Centos 4.4 and Direct admin as previous.

My question is this,
is there a thread running on how to start off DA with a clean install?

Ive forgotten how it all started and the options and boxes i had to sort,
and i'm sure i messed up the last time about 9 months ago.

As in the Admin Account had a silly name and domain :(
Any advice or links.

Thanks

Excellent :)
There going to help in the future.

My datacentre will install Direct Admin etc....
And when i go there for the very first time im presented with a login screen
as Direct admin is clean and no accounts, (Maybe Root?).

And i remember last time i messed up a bit,
and another member back then made the mistakes as i did too.
But there was a refrence to this GUI Running / setting up Direct Admin for the first time? And i cant find it any more in my bookmarks?

Hope that makes sense ?

Or maybe at the time i couldnt rememeber the account structure.

Sorry my mind is turning to Jelly

Well, I started with a funny domain name which wasn't supposed to be. But it was fixed by going to "Extra Features" then "Administrator Settings", assuming you're using the default Enhanced skin.

So I guess as long as DA got installed properly, you won't be seeing anything except maybe the wrong server name, which you can change. And the default user's going to be admin so can't go wrong there. :D

Hopefully it will all come back to me,
i think as i said above i didnt understant the account structures at the time.
Where as now i do :)

Will post again,
when i get my new install :)

Thanks for your help :)
