No email feature is working on my server

Hi guys...

So after working on my sites a lot lately, getting the domains(dns) and ftp accounts working, I thought I was done with all the troubleshooting...until I found out that the entire mail system doesnt work.

When I create a new email account, it doesnt work...squirrel mail says it doesnt exist (wrong username/pw), and I cant send or receive anything on it.
Only thing that works is the catch all (postmaster failure).

Hope someone here knows the possible cause

Dont know what I should be finding there....just a whole lot of Relay access denied, NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from and Aborted login

By the way,

I get the 'The service 'exim' on server server.domain.com is currently down' message a couple of times a day, after some googling...I still cant find out what Exim exactly does, and could this be the reason why my email-accounts arent working?

Exim is your mailserver, and if it's down, email isn't going to work.

However it shuldn't have anything to do with Squirrelmail not being able to log into mailboxes.

When logging into Squirrelmail you should use just your main site login name and password if you're trying to log into the main email account set up by default, but if you're trying to log into a virtual email account you've set up in your DirectAdmin control panel, then you should be using the entire email address and the password you've set.

If you need help in getting email working (most of us don't) you may need to hire someone (me, or someone else) with lots of experience.
