Hi, Ive got direct admin installed by my host. I need to run some commands in order to fix some imap issue, but im not able to find anything inside directadmin panel to run commands.

I know its a stupid question, but ... where is it? lol

Thanks for your patience lol

You will need to use an SSH client, like Putty, and login to the server as the root user in order to run any shell commands on the server.

the user always is: root?
and the pass is the same that is to login in the direct admin control panel?
I want to login with putty to my server but I don't know what is the user and the pass for that

Yes, the username is root. If you don't know the password, you'll need to ask your host what the password is, as long as you've been given root access to the server. And, no, the password is not the same as the password you use to login to DirectAdmin.

Of course it could be :). It shouldn't be but a lot of people set them up that way.

Jeff
