Very strange. When I add a new domain name, all the nameserver entries are as expected. The NS record however are not set to the DirectAdmin NS records (as in Administrator Settings) but is set to . (just a period/dot). And just one, not the two as noted in Administrator Settings.

There are no custom files in /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/custom and the dns_ns.conf seems unchanged (date, and contents):

Code:
|NS1|=|DOMAIN|.
|NS2|=|DOMAIN|.

Any idea what might be going on?

why are you setting nameservers to domain? Thats very incorrect.

actually that is the default template from directadmin.

Regarding your issue is strange, have you tried to contact da staff?

Regards

No, not yet. Want to try the forums first :) anyone have another idea what might be going on? Strangely I just added a domain and it worked fine... but another one I added it didn't. Does DirectAdmin take certain info from the registry? I often need to add a domain first to DirectAdmin, before being able to register it (as is the case with .NL domains for instance).

Maybe an idea... have you checked Nameserver in Reseller Level? You sayd was set in Admin level, but there is nameserver in reseller level too to setup.

Regards

You're right! For some resellers it seems those fields are empty... strange, cannot remember ever having to set it at the reseller level. Will now investigate which resellers have those fields empty. Thanks a lot! :)

ASlsdo, if you give us some domain names that do work, and some that don't, we can easily help you with specific problems you should check for.
