One Domain on Server Not Showing up for all

I do not resell.. I have only my own sites on my dedicated server.
Last week..about 6 days ago.. I moved a site of mine from another "shared hosting" acct..to my dedicated server.

I changed the nameservers on my domain hosting CP
I made sure that DNS settings for this domain.. match DNS settings for other sites on server (which are all working fine!)

After waiting the normal 24 or so hours for domain change to propagate .. I was able to access site. Checked all sections ..everything worked fine.

The problem I'm having is..
1) Some people have never been able to get on new server location.. they always get "Page cannot be found"
2) For other people.. myself included.. sometimes out of the blue we get "page cannot be found" error.

Domain host says it's nothing on their end.

Sometimes refreshing page works.. not always.
Sometimes going in from link to another area of site.. then moving around via menu from there works. .. not always
Sometimes I just have to wait it out.. like last night. Got error at 7pm.. couldn't do anything to fix.. so I waited and go on first try this morning.

But.. I've had some friends try link this morning..and they get "page cannot be found" error.

I've totally deleted all old files off of old host..and then had them delete that acct.. because I know that's caused problems with moving other sites in the past.

Some setting I'm forgetting about??
I've never had this particular thing happen in 10 yrs of having web sites!! Very odd.

It works for me. Perhaps you have or had a problem with cached DNS.

Also, check to see that the nameservers for alexoloughlin are properly set up at your registrar and in the zone file for the domain.

One thing I noticed Mary, is that both of your name servers resolve to the same IP address ...

This creates what we call a single point of failure. In a nut shell, your DNS has one chance to resolve - it either resolves 100%, or it fails 100%

I would suggest if it is an option, grab another IP from your host for like $1-2 a month, and put ns1.colinfarrellfansite.com and ns2.colinfarrellfansite.com on separate IP addresses - ideally on unique subnets.

If acquiring another IP address is not possible, most hosts have free name servers that they allow clients to use ... so you can use your A record to point at their name server.

Another ip address on the same machine does not help.

But if you do that you need to have a method for telling their nameserver to slave your domains.
