OS reinstall needed before installing DA?

Currently have Cloud Linux + Cpanel

Do I need to reinstall Cloud Linux before using DirectAdmin? or is it possible to uninstall cpanel and install DA over it? I've already removed all the accounts on the cpanel server.

Yes, it is highly recommended to reinstall from scratch.

Hey @idosha,

I suggest you set up a new VPS or Dedi, then install DirectAdmin.

Once the DA installed, you could install Cloudlinux and then migrate your cPanel accounts to your new server.

It is not a good idea to install DA on an existing cPanel server like replace cPanel with DA.
