Good morning I'm having trouble setting up an email account in Outlook, I use IMAP config ports without security and at the end I get the message that it was not possible to connect the client's email account on the server. I also used the ssl / tls security settings and nothing appears the same error. I tested the same account on my private machine and it connected without problems, I also tested the client's email account on his machine via webmail roudcube and everything works ok only the outlook on his machine is not.
 
Thanks but ports 587 are ok the problem is authentication error in the hosting client and your email account.
 
Sorry.. You said IMAP I wasn't reading I suppose...
the outlook on his machine is not.
So the issue is with the clients Personal PC?
if yes
is his outlook version up to date?
the outlook would need to support tls 1.2 https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=2277
is the windows firewall on?
can he get to his website form his machine?
did you have him go to Whats my IP and see if its blocked?
