Hello
I have a new website which is working great, however my problem is with email setup.
I use outlook 2003 (and also Mailwasher pro to reduce spam).
The email address is setup on Outlook (and on Mailwasher), I have downloaded the Outlook settings from the Directadmin control panel and i continue to recieve the message:
Task '[email protected] - sending' reported error (0x800CCC0D) : 'Unable to find the email server. Please verify the server information in your account properties.'
Everything works fine in Squirrel Mail by the way.
Incidentally, ports are: Incoming 110 & Outgoing 25.
Any assistance gratefully received.
Thanks in Anticipation.
Ian

We cannot test your email server since we do not know what it is.

Please read this and then repost.

There is no MX record for developer-direct.com and no A record for mail.developer-direct.com

You have a big DNS problem. Are you sure the domain is pointed to the correct nameservers?

Is NS.123-REG.CO.UK and NS2.123-REG.CO.UK your DirectAdmin servers?

NS.123-REG.CO.UK and NS2.123-REG.CO.UK your DirectAdmin servers?
These are the people I bought my domain from.
What do you suggest I can do to cure this Floyd?

All your options is well beyond the topic of this thread but here is a hint.

You can continue to use them as nameservers but you will have to manually create all the records to point to your server. You can look at the DNS of the domain on your server to get an idea of what is needed.

You can also create your own nameserver records at the registrar to point to your server.

But either way it sounds like you have a lot to learn. Start googling dns and nameservers and start doing the research.

Thanks

thanks you for your help.
I will speak with the web designers in the hope they can get things resolved (& perhaps with reg-123 too).
Thanks Again
Ian
