owner changed to www-data

Hello all,

I'm running an directadmin colocation. We have a couple CMS systems in there. Also an joomla system. If i upload it to an module etc. the owner of the uploaded files changed to www-data. If i change the data with FTP it says permission denied. Is there an way to fix it?

I'm running debian 64-bit.

Run php as mod_ruid2 or as suPHP.

Hello,

Why www-data by the way? Did you install Apache from deb? Directadmin does not use www-data anywhere by default.
