I've got a lot of files that are 644 on my server and I am not able to delete these files. Well, I have one file in each folder, htaccess.php and it cannot be edited or deleted. This also goes for all of the files within the folder of this file.

How can I delete this file? I'm trying to clean out my server a little bit and these files are keeping me from doing so.

I have the same difficulties about deleting some folders and files that are 644, and i have no permission to CMOD them?!

Exactly. I do not understand the problem. I know it is probably a server-side issue rather than this cpanel, but I'd like to know if there is a way around it.

It seem to be a question relating to the seveur, I posted on the forum my question a fews days a go, I hope to be able to obtain information about this. From the control pannel I can see that this files are related to "appache". I dont known why, they were uploaded by myself...

You don't say how you uploaded the files, but I'm presuming you uploaded them using php. If so, they'd end up owned by apache, because that's how php uploads files.

You also don't say how you're trying to remove them. If you're trying to remove files through the shell you must have write access to the directory the files are in.

The files were uploaded using an ftp acces : "WS_FTP"
I' m trying to delete them from DirectAdmin panel : selecte and click delete. But I can't cMOD or change the permissions, they are assigned to "Appache".

I don't see how they could have changed to apache ownership if you uploaded them through ftp.

No matter; if they're owned by ftp you won't be able to delete them; you'll have to ask your hosting company to do it for you.
