Hi, I am Regina Roper and have an existing, newly established (free) website at x10 Hosting at: celestialregina.x10.mx
I formerly had a website there for several years. It went offline (my decision) in Jan. 2024. I decided to put it up again and with some assistance, got an ftp account set up and have uploaded 300MB+ of files: all working fine on the Net.
Problem is: I was able to get onto the "old" Hosting Panel; and noticed it had the wrong email address. In trying to update that, requesting a change to our new one, I then LOST access to the DirectAdmin functionality. I have tried every extant email and password saved by the browser for both; and for the forum--now all we get is an error message is that 'it does not match the database' and can proceed NO further.
Yet, our website is STILL online, and I can still use Filezilla to upload files! But, x10 has a rule that you MUST have a working email address or the site will be terminated.
I have now spent at least four days - sometimes several hours per session! - trying to change to the NEW, working email. (The old one was shut off by Gmail so it cannot receive "confirmation" mail from x10 when I want to change something critical.
On numerous occasions I have done deep web searches to try to find any email addresses for x10 hosting that I can use; none found. I did try to set up a Discord account; that seems to have failed. I have a PENDING account at x10 Hosting forum--but cannot post messages, because they are still trying to use the OLD, defunct email.
Again: ALL I need to do, is JUST to reset my current working email on my x10 account; and one snafu after another seems to have caused my login to fail.
Is there any way I can contact, personally, an admin at x10 Hosting to try to get a fix--I can try it by email or phone.
Apologies for the (probably) confusing message, but I am trying to explain ALL that we've tried!
Best,
Regina Roper
P.S. Every time I've tried to do something to correct this, or to log in to an x10 or DirectAdmin forum, etc., I took screenshots of the results with my username, etc.-so I can prove to x10 Admins who I am and that I am the owner of the valid account for my site, despite the fact that now the login is messed up, AND of course, the wrong email address is in the account properties. So my ID can be verified. - RR
