Postinstallation errors of Roundcube and PhpMyAdmin

Hello ,

First of all I wanted to say that this seems to be a great software , but I am having some issues with it .

I have tried like 10 times to start with a clean server and a clean installation of DirectAdmin and everytime I get the same errors , I am unable to make Roundcube and PhpMyAdmin work .


About PhpMyAdmin:
When visiting , the url looks like : server.example.com/phpMyAdmin/sso/AAAAAGdAhywfLxil_UjrtptFIghLUELe4gN5-L5p1m1JhnpokSx2Qw.php and all i get is : File not found.

I have tried to rebuild using Custombuild and i get :

removing /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin-5.2.1-nDhj
phpMyAdmin 5.2.1 installation is done.

No errors nothing , I do not even know where to start ....


About Roundcube

I have added a domain in the direct admin panel and when visiting :
1. mail.domain.com - i get the default apache page
2. mail.domain.com/roundcube or mail.domain.com/roundcube/index.php i get:

When trying to rebuild using Custombuild, I get:

I am unsure why this is not working out of the box , or what settings do i have to check on installation for them to work ?
The only thing I have checked extra at installation was to load ioncube as I have installed softaculous , this being a pre-requisite.

The vps I have has the following specs:
4 cores intel
16gb of ram
100gb nvme
ubuntu 24.04

There is a big chance that your installation was not finished. Even you have access to DA, there`s a lot of processes still running and installing in the background. Wait, till you get the installation finished message in the DA message system.

On the screenshot is nothing about a finished installation. So I dont think its finished. Or it was, but not successfully , and was maybe somehow interrupted by your interactions, now missing a successfully (working) CB install. You can now a) start from fresh, take your time and wait for a finished message, and have a clean system. Or .. b) try to repair CB, but it is unsure if CB is the only problem. If the installation was not finished (and it looks so) then you may encounter more problems after CB repair, or any mysterious error in the future.

Hi , I will do a fresh install today and let you know the results , but to expect , how long does it take for DA to be installed , as from the time of install until now , there are 4 days... and no message received in inbox
 
Now it works , the only thing different i created a new server with Debian 12 instead of Ubuntu 24.04 , dunno why , as I did the same things as before .
Nevertheless , thanks for your help .
 
You're probably on a license from your vps/server provider then or having another kind of legacy license which do not support newer operating systems anymore.
Last OS on legacy license for Debian and relatives are Debian 12 and Ubuntu 20 so that might explain the issue.
