I am trying to configure wildcard dns through my directadmin panel for my wordpress multisite subdomains.

This is what I did: User Panel >> DNS Management >> Add Record (Name=* Type=A Value=xxx.xx.xxx.xxx) >> Submit.

I then went to Admin Panel >> Custom HTTPD Configurations >> mydomain.com >> Customize >> (Added: ServerAlias *.|DOMAIN|) >> (At the bottom are Additional Custom Tokens, which offcourse I don't know which one to choose) >> Save >> Back >> Back >> Build Rewrite Confs.

Then I got the below message
Checking to ensure /usr/local/lsws/ssl.crt/server.ca is set.
Using 206.72.197.199 for your server IP
PHP has been secured.
Restarting openlitespeed.

It's not working. I got the instruction from here https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/wildcard-dns-and-wordpress-multisite.46285/ and two other places. All the instructions are the same, and It's not working for me.

Perhaps I am not understanding it well. Somebody please help me

Thanks in advance,
Lawrence

if you don't want to make a lot of subdomains, and need just a few - you can add each additional subdomain as "domain pointer". - in such case there is no need to create wildcard aliases at DNS and at custom_httpd

I am using DirectAdmin on Openlitespeed.
Somebody please help me with instruction of how to configure wildcard dns for my wordpress multisite subdomains
