Problem with ftp

Hi all,

I have a problem with FTP on one of my servers, a user (reseller) informed me that when he creates a new account he can use ftp like normal, but when he creates whitin the account a new ftp account he can gain access true that account.

I tried it under the user admin but also im not able to logon on ftp with a newly created ftp account, but with my other credetials it is no problem. Any idea where to begin my search?

I know that! thats what i told the reseller in the first place, but even when trying that it is imposilble to logon with an newly created ftp account....

I presume you've done some testing?

I have no idea; you should probably look into your server, specifically at the /etc/proftpd* files. Or perhaps have someone with more experience than you look into them.

Have you asked DirectAdmin staff for support?

Yes we did some testing, but still no go. I will ask support to have a look at the issue! thanx
