problem with protected directoty

I protected a directory.
In that directory there are pictures and video's
The pictures I can see them but the video does not play.

How do I solve that?

You should give us more details (what video? how do you try to play it? what error do you get in browser? in logs? etc) so we could help you here, or you might need to hire someone to check if from inside.

In that directory is an index.html and that starts automaticly that shows the foto's thumbnales.

I think I must make a index.html file to show the video thumbnales?

By the way what a difficult thing is the Random Question!
I'm Dutch so I mostly don't know the answer.
I have to search it with google.
 
Your thread should be viewed on user level. Your issue does not seem to be related to Directadmin the hosting panel and seems to be off-topic for us. Despite that you might have answers here from other users, so I've moved it to off-topic subforum.

You still did not provide any valuable information, so you are mostly on your own as hardly anybody here is going to guess your details.

I don't know what video you want to play and what scripts you use (if any)... flash, or javascript. Anyway you should check documentation for your scripts and see how to use it properly.

p.s. Does your scripts work if to disable password protection?

When I disable password protection everything works.
 
OK, that will be my last post in your thread, unless you provide details. So please either post here a link to your page with a login/password, so we could check it ourselves, or get somebody to check it for you.

There is no other way to help you. Nobody will ever guess what scripts you are using there. And why they don't work as you want.
 
Please write did you decide your problem with video. If yes, give us the solution.

Problem with Protected Directory

Hi, I'm not really knowledgeable about it but I think, you should evaluate first what is exactly the display errors that has been showing on your screen. There might be file that is corrupt or in an unsupported format, that might be one reason why video file can't be played.
 
The prblem is sloved.
I had to make an index.htm file to show the video's
