Problems Adding IP to Domain for SSL

Hi, I am trying to add an IP to a Reseller. I added the IP, then assigned it to the reseller, the status still says free, but when I try and assigned the IP in the user data, It does not show up on the list of available domains to use. I followed these instructions and it is not on the list:

While logged in as admin, do the following:
Switch to the Reseller Level panel.
Click the List Users link.
Click the Modify your own User data link.
Using the “Set IP To” dropdown list, select the IP address for the main site.
Click the Save button.

I have done this before for another domain, What am I missing here?

it shouldnt say free when you assign it to the reseller. It should say which reseller it is assigned to. If you get that far and its not working then something is definately wrong. You might need to have someone look at your server.
 
this is how the IP Management looks: (as you can see the "reseller2" is assigned but not the user

IP Status Reseller User(s) Netmask
x.x.x.34 server 70 255.255.255.0
x.x.x.35 free reseller2 255.255.255.0
x.x.x.36 owned reseller1 reseller1 255.255.255.0
 
Is it an issue that this was an existing user that i changed to a reseller?
 
ok after that point then you can assign it to the user under that reseller.

What exactly isnt working right?
 
When I try to assign it to the user under that reseller where is show me the list of IP's to "Set IP To" It only shows me 1 IP, the one that it is currently set to not the new one.

Go to reseller level and check ip management... you might need to assign it to the user...but I dont think so. I can check when I get home...I dont have a directadmin here to test the exact steps.
 
Thanks. When I go to IP management under reseller level I see the new IP but it only gives me options to -"Share Selected" and "Free Selected" and it is listed as free already.
 
After you assign the ip to the reseller you do this:

Login as the reseller you assigned the ip to and go to "list users".

Click the username you wish to edit.

Click "modify user button" for the user.

Then choose "set ip to".

If you dont see the extra ip that you just added in there then something is definately wrong.

The page you should be on is:

/CMD_MODIFY_USER?user=testuser

Testuser would be the actual users name.
 
Hi, Thanks for the help. I got it. The problem was I needed to login as the reseller and go to "Modify your own User data" everywhere I looked I did not see anyone say to change it there, they always said on "Modify user data" as admin.
