proftpd 1.3.8b - 550 errors had to downgrade

Hi All,

I've upgraded two servers - one with ubuntu and the other centos 7 and in both the proftpd version was upgraded to 1.3.8b.

The errors in both are the same (different clients and both reporting the same problem):

[R] 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file_name
[R] 550 file_name: Operation not permitted


When trying to upload files, they get an error of 550 on existing files.
I changed version.txt to 1.3.8 (removed the 'b') and ./build proftpd and everything is working fine.

Anyone else experienced a problem with this ?
