Hi,

On PureFTPd website we can see this:

https://download.pureftpd.org/pub/pure-ftpd/doc/README.Configuration-File

"A sample configuration file named pure-ftpd.conf should have been installed
in /etc/, /usr/local/etc/ or another standard location derived from
the package installation prefix."

no /etc/pure-ftpd.conf or /usr/local/etc/pure-ftpd.conf

In /etc/systemd/system/pure-ftpd.service

[Service]
Type=forking
ExecStart=/usr/sbin/pure-ftpd /etc/pure-ftpd.conf

I know that PureFTP options can be made in command and also in pure-ftpd.conf but....

Where is the default pure-ftpd.conf in DA installation ?

Thanks

/etc/pure-ftpd.conf should be there if that's a systemd-based OS.

Thanks Martynas

But the question is where is the sample configuration file that pureftpd.org talk about ?

Thanks

/etc/pure-ftpd.conf holds all the comments about configuration settings, is that file empty on your system? Doesn't "./build pureftpd" solve it?

Hi Martynas ,

Thanks now the file /etc/pure-ftpd.conf is there, is this something that DA fix automatically ?

By the way can I use the /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/pure-ftpd/pure-ftpd.conf. for custom settings ?

If yes how do I rewrite the settings ? Is there any .buid pure-ftpd_conf ?

Thanks

Hi again
DirectAdmin does not seem to use /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/pure-ftpd so we need to set the configuration on /etc/ pure-ftpd.conf and just restart the service.
Can anyone confirm this ?

I am on Debian 9.3
Thanks

Yes, that's true, but you may still copy it to /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/pure-ftpd/pure-ftpd.conf to be future-proof :)
