pureFTPd vs vsftpd

Hello everyone,
I know it's an old debate, but I'd like to know what's the default ftpd in DA.
In cPanel it's pureftpd. I'm wondering which one does DA like better/work better with.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of pureFTPd over vsftpd? I can't find a down to earth comparison. Something like cPanel has done on it's FTP server selection page in WHM, but that only compares proftpd to pureftpd.

Any thoughts?

ProFTPd is somewhat buggy with a lot of security issues and eats a LOT of server memory. Didn't anyone try to make pureftps or vsftpd work with DA?

Back to the original quesion, wich one is better?
 
User smtalk is generally quite through in his work, and his post (linked by user scsi) is fairly recent. I'd suggest trying it and letting us know how it works for you.
