Query via phpmyadmin blocks server access

Whenever I try to execute queries via phpmyadmin, I get blocked. Not only for phpmyadmin, but for the whole server. After some time, this block is removed.

My IP is allowed in CSF. Querying via client programmes, e.g. HeidiSQL does not leave me stranded.

Is there something I can do to prevent this?

CSF doesn't parse PHP, so look at modSecurity or other WAF (maybe you use imunify360)

Mod Security is a hinder more than a prevention, especially with OWASP rules...........

Try switching to comodo waf then. Not sure if its updated as much as it used to be but it still works quite well with less false positives.
