Question: IMAP Quota

I am thinking of using imap for my email. However, i have a few questions with regards to its configuration.

1) What is a standard imap quota limit?
2) If the limit is exceeded or is about to be exceeded, how do i configure for an email notification to be sent to me?
3) What will happen to emails which are sent after the quota is exceeded? Will they come in when i clear my emails or will they be lost?

Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In DirectAdmin (if you're not using DirectAdmin you're asking in the wrong place) all your mailboxes are in the /home directory and therefore are subject to the user's quota, if any.

Additionally, when you set up your mailbox you set its individual quota. If the individual quotas are higher than the site quota (or more accurately the site quota less all other files in the user's home directory) then the site quota may prevent you from getting email even though you haven't reached your mailbox quota.
