Record CNAME

Hi everyone,
I would like to redirect my domain domain1.com to domain2.com using a CNAME record. I don't know if I'm doing it correctly.
The configuration looks like this:

Name TTL Type Value
domain1.com. 3600 CNAME domain2.com

Additionally, I removed the A record for domain1.com and www.

As I know - you can't use CNAME for domain, only for subdomain.
So you can use: www.domain1.com. 3600 CNAME domain2.com
and at domain1 you can use 301 redirect from domain1 to www.domain2
or
use: www.domain1.com. 3600 CNAME domain1.com
and at domain1 you can use 301 redirect from domain1 to www.domain2
or
both redirects.
