I've STF'd and can't find anything addressing this specific issue.

I have a co-located server with 15 IP addresses. I have designated four of those IP addresses to a particular reseller. However, when the reseller creates a user, the option is still there to use the server's shared IP address.

How can I get the server's IP address unshared or atleast out of the pulldown list for assignment by anyone else other than an admin?

Bill,

When you created your resellers packages there is an option to:
"Allow Reseller to create sites with server IP" if you DO NOT put a checkmark in this box then the reseller will not be able to create a site using the shared server ip. ie. shared server ip should never show up in the drop down list. Also since you already created the reseller account you should be able to log into DA with your admin account and then under "Server Management" click the link that says "List resellers" then from there you should be able to edit the reseller account. ie. clear the checkmark box that says "Allow Reseller to create sites with server IP" this should fix your problem hopefully.

I've verified that the package assigned to this reseller does not have this option. The box is unchecked, yet the option is still there.

It is possible that the package was applied after the reseller was created, but I've assigned that package to the reseller and I would expect that it would inherit the settings defined in that package.

I also have already tried your second option. I looked at both the reseller account and the reseller's user account. Neither have this option exposed as a configuratable item. However, I do see that the User Server IP address is set to on, but I can't find any facility for changing it.

Ok, figured it out. If the reseller is created and that option is enabled, then the application of the reseller package will not alter those original settings.

Not sure if this is a bug, and I hope that it doesn't function this way for users. Would be nice to be able to apply new packages to resellers/users depending on their needs, without having to manually edit them (if the option is even available, in this case it was not) or delete/recreate.

Thanks, gpfault, for the assist.
