How do I manually set the root directory for a domain.

For example, what I want to do is set the root directory of: www.mydomain.com
to www.somedomain.com

So that when someone visits mydomain.com the site files are actually coming from somedomain.com

Hope this makes sense.

I've done this with other server admins, but can't see how to do this in DirectAdmin.

Thanks, but I need the browser to show the original address but be getting the files from the other one.

So even though the sever is getting the file/page from: www.somedomain.com the browser shows: www.mydomain.com

There should be a way of setting the root directory for a domain in DA, but I can't find it.

Presuming both domains are on the same server, if you setup the second domain as an alias to the first, both domains will use the same data on the server but browser windows, logins, etc., will work with whichever domain name that's typed in, and the address won't change in the browser window.

However, this limits you as both domains share the same setup; you can't, for example, have different quotas or different email users, for the different domains.

I'm not sure if changing the root directory at the Custom HTTPD Configurations link in the DirectAdmin admin login level works or not; you could try it.
