Rotation Logs

Into this forum I've found some posts that explain how to apply rotation logs:

1) Enabled them into directadmin.conf by adding "rotation=1" line

2) Set value into admin section "Number of backups log"


I'have a question: we need to have 6month retention of logs for each domain. How can we do it?

I found another topic where you said that DA make rotation daily.

So If I set "Number backups log...." to 186 (31days * 6 months) I've retention for 6months with daily log rotation.

Right?

That sounds about right, however, 180+ log files are hardly manageable to say the least. That's why we disable DA's log rotation altogether.

This is a very old issue, by the way, which unfortunately is being ignored.
I would love to see official solution for this problem but I guess there are not enough complaints to move it higher on TODO list
