Hi,
I like RoundCube and I use it a lot for several years now. Since a few months my Sent-folder is empty. I don't know why. The sent mails should be present, because I can see them in Squirrel.
Anybody has an idea what's happening here?

It might be related to webapps_inbox_prefix=no set in /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/options.conf. Set it to "yes", do "./build roundcube" and it will start using the old folders. Currently, SquirrelMail doesn't use the new folders on your system, because "./build squirrelmail" hasn't been run from the time the webapps_inbox_prefix option was set to "no".

I'm one of those admins who never understood why the prefix became standard. But nevertheless, it did, and I and others have become used to the layout.

Is there a reason why you've implmented the new, more logical (but unintuitive to most of us) layout? Is there an easy wy to convert so that all the folder locations can be moved automatically?

Thanks, Martynas. That answers my second question.

My first still remains :).

The old, while it may see illogical to most of us, is certainly ingrained into our working habits :).

The main problem is that desktop email clients (outlook, KMail, Thunderbird) don't use any prefixes by default, and that causes duplicate folders. By the way, we don't force you to use no prefix for folders, that's why options.conf webapps_inbox_prefix is used for :) Just set it to "yes", and you'll have the same prefix added in webmail.

Thanks, Martynas, but I guess I'm still confused. Do you mean that they don't use prefixes when you create new folders through them? I've created many folders through KMail (and some through Roundcube & Squirrelmail), and if I recall correctly all let me decide what the parent folder should be, and that's the prefix.

Or am I missing something?

And then do I really want to run the script? Will it make changes to already-created folders? Or only change the default parent folders for newly created folders?

Thanks in advance for helping me understand this.

Jeff
