Dear all,

Here is the problem:

- I have one customer: example.com

- Website hosting is done by me using DA. I set up the domain example.com and host their website files

- Email hosting is done by another company

- DNS: A record set to my server for website hosting, MX records are set to email hosting company.

Things are fine, people can visit example.com and www.example.com and see the website and can send email to [email protected]

Only problem is other customers on my server. When my DA server is used by my other customers as outgoing mail server we have a problem:

Customer 2 (second.org) tries to send a mail to [email protected] using the DA server as outgoing (relay) server. DA now thinks that [email protected] is set up in DA, but this is not the case. The email adress is set up by the email company. Customer 2 will receive an error message saying that [email protected] does not exist.

How can I solve this??

Thanks,
Ntvbs

This presumes you have admin access to the server; if you do not, then you need to contact your provider.

From the Admin level turn on DNS access for users.

From the Reseller level turn on the enhanced skin.

Then from the User level click on MX Records and make sure to uncheck the section called Use this server to handle my emails and save the section.

Then you may turn off DNS access and switch back to any skin you prefer.
