We just purchased a dedicated server with DA. We had the hosting company setup the server with one of our domain names as the host name.

We can't figure out how to administer that domain -- add email addresses, install frontpage extensions etc.

We haven't setup any resellers or users but can apparently work as "admin" in all three areas.

We have one domain listed in the CP under the reseller admin -- but can't figure out how to add a user, or work with the domain in any way.

Can't the host name as a domain be worked on within DA?

Second: do we really need to create "resellers" if we are going to administer alll the domains?

Any help will be appreciated greately.

Yes and No.
You can use the same domain root, but it should not be the same as any domain you plan on using.
For example, if you have dummy.com
You should have the host name as something like
zues.dummy.com
Otherwise you'll run into problems.

Once you confirm/change that, then you can go to the admin's user level and add the domain through the domain administration page and have all the controls to manage it.

You can don't have to create resellers to manager the domain, you can just do it from the reseller level of the admin account.
