I also said in that thread to use port 587. I also explained why, and I included some code to make sure that email would only be accepted through port 587 if it were authenticated.toml said:Actually Jeff (jlasman) was correct in that thread. He said it would only open those two ports.
Since ISPs will leave port 587 unblocked as the standard port for authenticated email injection, it's the good one to use.
