Hi,
I have successfully transferred all my users and userdomains to a new box. The backupsystem is quiet good for this. No errors at all. But .. now the big question: I have - as admin, in my userlevel, 2 domains on the new box, and I have a userbackup from my admin-account from the old box with about 100 other domains.
If I simply restore now the backup on the new box - will this harm my existing 2 domains or will the other ones simply added?
Thank you

You`re right. It will. But its possible to go.. I will delete all what I dont need from inside the backup called admin.tar.gz ("domains" and "backup" per domain must survive) ... with one domain it was good, server alive, I will try now further.. I will write it together as soon as I succeed or my server is dead.

To correct me - my last statement was not a good idea at all. It mixed up everything inside the domain/backup-structure.
Finally, I found out why everybody here in the board suggest to make reseller for all things. I will follow this strategy from now.

I succeeded finally: I backed up everything as admin on the old box.
On the new box I opened an reseller "george". I renamed my admin-backup to george.tar.gz and reimported without any troubles all my domains in my reseller in the new box.
This was a good thing, all my databases, mail- and ftp-accounts are alive. Only needed to rename some database-names (from admin_ to george_) and to write this in the configuration.php`s where needed.

My other 2 domains I transferred simply with the new "move domains between reseller" function. (it can also move domains from admin I found out).

Thank you

The one time we did an admin move it worked, but of course changed the admin password, which drove me crazy for a few minutes. Fortunately I've still got a lot of hair to pull out (see my mug-shot above left :)).
