I need help setting up an A record. This is to suit a domain name reseller plan that I've joined. I need to set up the subdomain http://domains.mydomain.com.au and give it the IP address they've given me. My difficulty is that in the control panel I can't see any reference to A records or subdomains. Thanks for any advice.

When at the administrative level there is a link under the "Admin Tools" Section named "DNS Administration"
Thats what you want. In it you will have the control to do what you want.

Hint: You will make a zone entering your subdomain in the domain box.

Thanks for that. I will look into it. In the mean time, big trouble. Firstly I set up the subdomain at the registrar where my domain is registered. This changed the DNS setting for my domain. So all the sites I host went down. I changed the DNS details back to ns1 and 2.mydomain.com.au . Nothing happened. My hosting wholesaler said use ns1 and 2.hostingwholesaler.com.au. My site came back but the others did not. I guess he has somehow logged it so ns1 and 2.hostingwholesaler.com.au equate to ns1 and 2.mydomain.com.au. He says the sites are all visible where he is, but they are still invisible here. Note, their DNS info is as it was and hasn't been touched.
