Setting up DNS records for external mail server

I've tried searching the forums, however can't find the answers.

I am hosting a clients site and they are using another company for their email server (for anti-spam features).

I've setup the DNS as follows:

mail mx 10
mail CNAME server1.otherhost.com

Is that all I need to do? I've also unchecked the local mail server box in the second window.

So that I understand, now all I have is

other.server.com mx 10

That's correct?

Either way should work as long as you delete any A record for mail when you create the CNAME.
