Even when I use auto, the hostname is set as the IP instead of the existing hostname (there was one set)..... Why?

I've just noticed that there's a DNS with this IP, and no actual FDQN, even though I change the hostname within DA immediately after installation.

Is there a way to swap the zone entry to a FQDN instead of doing it manually?

Hostname can be changed in administrator settings page, on DNS administration page it's easy to create a new DNS zone if needed, and remove the other one :) I'm not sure why IP instead of hostname was assigned, probably it was set in the license instead of the hostname?

I think so (ip as hostname in license).... This is the thing when you get from resellers.

Have now created the new zone and removed the old.
