Thanks. Their pricing, both for Reseller Club and for Enom, seems a bit high to me.

Our pricing is signifcantly lower for the TLDs I've checked. We require a deposit; I believe that both Enom and Reseller Club do as well.

Yes they both do (we use Enom but not Directi/ResellerClub). My Australian Registrar also requires a deposit or "float".

Who do you use in Australia? We've used PlanetDomain for years but we've never had to leave a deposit, and we even get money back from them (though they use an international money transfer and it costs us us$15 to get it. The only real problem we have with them is that they don't offer reseller support during off-hours, and their 9am to 5pm becomes 2pm to 10 pm here.

So when our UK clients (we use them mostly for .co.uk domains) ask us something it often takes us over a day to get a response.

And certain issues, such as tag changes, need to be done manually.

For anyone who cares, the reason we have multiple domain registrar accounts with different companies is because we buy small hosting companies, and as we do, we end up keeping the domains where they were.

Jeff

We use DistributeIT - because they have a module for WHMCS, and because I know the owner personally.

If you order domains through WHMCS (their API), it requires you to have money in your "account balance" - or - you have to leave your credit card with them on file (I'm not a big fan of this for security reasons). So, essentially, you could do it without needing to have a balance.
