Spamassassin not marking emails **SPAM**

I have browsed the threads here in the email section of this forum to find out how to get Spamassassin installed and running. I have made sure the perl modules required are installed and edited the exim.conf file as prescribed then restarted exim and started spamd. When I use the user interface to configure the threshhold for spamassassin, it seems to write the configuration but nothing happens to write ****SPAM**** in place of the subject.

Watching the exim log I can see spamd is being called. I have also seen "identified spam" in the log, but I don't see any difference in emails coming in. I set the threshhold to 1.5.

Can anyone help?

Hello,

Make sure you have the later exim.conf with the commands required to access the users user_prefs file instead of using the systemwide one.

wget -O /etc/exim.conf http://files.directadmin.com/services/exim.conf
wget -O /etc/exim.pl http://files.directadmin.com/services/exim.pl

Then make the changes to the new exim.conf again.

I followed your instructions.
Now the RBL is working but still not changing the subject to **** SPAM ****

Any other ideas?
