Squirrel Mail / Webmail logon issue

I'm new to the forums, and this is kind of a last ditch effort to figure out why my users are recieving the error "Preference file, /var/lib/squirrelmail/prefs/kbanks.pref.tmp, could not be written. Contact your system administrator to resolve this issue"... This is a network wide issue, and a server reboot would not correct the problem... I cannot think of anything thats changed on this box.. and the only thing that was really different in the last 24 hours was I did not recieve a logwatch report last night... Help Please..

Permission of your data folder is wrong probably. However that is not a standard folder so you must of installed squirrelmail a different way.
