Squirrelmail language issue

Hello:

Since a couple of days on one of our servers it isn't possible to change the language in squirrelmail. I have changed the default language in the config_default.php and config.php files but squirrelmail is always in english.

Any thoughts on this issue?

Are the language packs still located in the locales directory? A recent version discontinued the packaging of other languages and made them available for download in a seperate package.

In the include directory I only have the following files:

index.php
load_prefs.php
options (this is a folder)
validate.php

I'm sorry, I meant to type "locales" directory. The README.locales file should have more information on the recent packaging of language files if you have the latest version.

I also have noticed there is no language file any more.
How can I add it?

Do I just need to do tar -xvzf?
Has anybody tried it?

I was downloading a wrong version of language files.
