Squirrelmail users complaining "Out of Space" but they're not!

Some Squirrelmail users are getting a message (which I haven't yet managed to get a screenshot of), allegedly saying, "Out of Space". They delete some messages and all seems ok again for a while.

It seems to be around the time that they have about 50Mb of mail in their mailboxes, regardless of whether they have a mailbox quota of 1Gb.

If the affected users switch to alternative webmail clients, the problem is not seen.

Any ideas please. I'm sure I must have overlooked something in the config!

May it be a PHP "out of memory" error instead? Does the page shows correctly or is there only that error? Where is this error shown exactly? A screenshot or complete description or at least a copy/paste of the complete error from the customer is necessary to investigate this problem.
Is the file system quota of the user enough?

I guess it could be 'out of memory'. Like you say, difficult to say without a screenshot. I'm going to try to replicate it myself, since I've been hearing this for a few weeks now but no one's come up with a pic.

I'll be back if I'm able to replicate it.
