SSL for Host name and admin user Conflicting

Title: User Domain SSL Shows “Insecure” Despite Valid TLS Certificate

Hi everyone,

I’m running DirectAdmin Personal License with Pro Pack on a VPS with AlmaLinux 9.
My setup:

• Hostname / Admin panel: cdn.avioxhost.com → SSL works fine, green in browser
• User domain: avioxhost.com → SSL shows “local data” green, but the site itself shows insecure in browsers
• TLS certificate for server: valid, auto-renew enabled
• DNS: Both hostname and user domain point to the same VPS IP

Problem:
Even though the server certificate is valid and auto-renewed, avioxhost.com still shows insecure in browsers. I’ve tried reissuing the certificate, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered this before? What’s the recommended way to get the user domain fully secure while keeping the hostname/admin SSL working?

Hello,

The last screenshot shows the certificate is NOT valid. You should request a separate certificate for the domain at a user level.

Thank Alex, but i have tried to issue separate certificate but unfortunately system picks the progenerated certificate of best match due to the same domain name. i issued the separate cert manually but key is conflicting. this conflict is happening in Direct Admin only , any other hosting panel never encounter such type of error. let suppose: my host name is : cdn.avioxhost.com and domain is : avioxhost.com , the certificate for hostname is prevailing by default. i think there is a bug in the core files not in the configurations . please advise . thank you

Did you request a separate certificate for the domain at a user level of DirectAdmin or using SSH (CLI)? What the SSL page for the domain looks like? You might mask the SSL key, if it is displayed there.

Thank you Alex, yes it was masking the key from server host name automatically regardless of best try to issue manual and through acme , may be i were wrong but , i have observed closely that on personal license , DA panel behave very differently. it has some fixed conflictions that cannot be over ruled, instead it behavior as lite or standard license is quite normal as it should be . i upgraded to lite and configured normally , it went throigh all well. Thanks again for your kind support. Please if you can just share some pro tips for isolating the users like cloud linux level , and keeping most stable for shared hosting environment scalable. thanks a lot for your time sir.
