Strange problem in squirrelmail

hi,
I am facing a very strange problem in my InBox.I am not able to delete my mails from the INbox. I have tried delete the mails.
1 Directly selecting multiple mails from Inbox.
2 After opening the mail and then aplying delete.
3 Trying to move to Inbox trash.
Every time I delete the mails it goes to Inbox trash but the mail from
Inbox is not moved. If i make delete N no. of times there are N no. of
mails in Trash but the original is at its
place.

What could be the problem.?

Have you verified that the user isn't over his/her mailbox quota?

Are you running the latest squirrelmail?

Are you running Dovecot? If so are you running the latest version?

Huge mailboxes? If you're not using dovecot a mailbox is one huge file.

Did you ever resolve this? My client is having the same problem in SM and Roundcube. The mailbox file is 43MB. Any suggestions?

Problem resolved by backing up the mailbox and imap folder, deleting the address, and recreating the address and restoring the data. The only downside is that the client lost the SM theme and address book. I'm sure there is a way to backup this info. as well. Perhaps someone else can chime in with where the SM user data is stored.

SM data is stored in /var/www/html/squirrelmail/data/.
