Stop sending your clients off-property to self-diagnose their DNS issues!

The customizable DNSLint service will allow you to tailor their experience to match your brand’s visual identity, reducing the risk of confusion and poaching of your client by other vendors.

DNSLint currently has 15+ and growing diagnostic checks it performs against your client's domain, flagging issues which may impact the performance or functionality of their websites.

Recently launched, DNSLint already supports a core set of diagnostics, with many more planned. Enhance your offerings while limiting further overhead from having to maintain another software suite.

Key benefits of offering DNSLint to your clients:
- Reduced support tickets and improved customer satisfaction
- Enhanced customer experience through customization
- Increased efficiency and reduced overhead for your business
- Improved accuracy and reliability of DNS diagnostics

DNSLint Update: AI Summaries, Pro Plan, and 10 New Checks

Hey everyone, wanted to share some updates on what's been added to DNSLint over the last few months.

AI Executive Summary
This is the big one. After your client runs a lint, they'll see a plain-language summary at the top of the results explaining what was found and what needs attention. No more decoding DNS jargon. This is available on all plans, with higher usage limits on Pro.

Pro Plan is Live
The Pro plan is now available at $19/month. It adds:
  • Your own custom domain with automatic HTTPS (e.g., dns.yourcompany.com instead of yourcompany.dnslint.com)
  • Configurable SOA thresholds so you can adjust validation rules to match your standards
  • Higher AI summary limits

New Checks
We've gone from 15+ checks at launch to over 25. Here's what's been added:
  • DNSSEC validation (DS records at the parent zone)
  • Lame delegation detection
  • IPv6 readiness for nameservers and the domain itself
  • MX CNAME validation
  • MX target resolution
  • SOA MNAME, RNAME, and serial consistency
  • Nameserver TCP connectivity
  • Nameserver count warning (>7)

We've also updated SOA checks to align with RFC 1912 recommendations.

IDN Support
Internationalized domain names (non-ASCII characters like münchen.de) are now fully supported.

Performance
DNS queries are now parallelized and cached, so results come back noticeably faster than before.

Reliability
If nameservers are unreachable, the tool now fails early with a clear message instead of returning confusing partial results. A number of edge cases around unresponsive DNS servers have also been resolved.

As always, you can start with a 7-day free trial at dnslint.com. Happy to answer any questions.
