subdomain as regular domain

Hi i try to setup cert for main and sub domain.

Read here on the forum about creating 2 domains like sub.domain.com and domain.com in directadmin.

Problem is domain.com is working but sub.domain.com isnt working DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.
Do i have to set a value in a records on domain.com like *domain.com?

Using own cert because letsencrypt has rate limit on our domain, and i have to fix this issue soon, so i bought 2 separate comodo ssls for both domains main domain and subdomain.

Yes, you have to make sure an A-record for your subdomain pointing to your server exists.
