Hello,

1. I have a sub-domain (example: ann.abc.com), it worked in http and ftp but email has some problem. This sub-domain and MX record used godaddy point to my server IP address. The email account setting already has ann account by default, so I tried to use yahoo email send email to [email protected], but yahoo has message said no this user account in this sub-domain. Is Directadmin do not support sub-domain email ?

2. I want to setup POP3 account for users, but I can't see the POP3 setting in Directadmin, is it need to buy a module ?

THX

Under DirectAdmin if you set up a subdomain inside your domain you do not get email. If you need email accounts for your subdomain you should set it up as if it were an entirely new domain.

There is nothing to install, pop3 works out of the box.

what settings do you want to see?

What do you mean ? could you give me an example ? thx !

Go to domain administration and add a new domain and enter the subdomain as the domain.

Are you using DirectAdmin control panel?
OK, I saw the Domain Administration by Admin level, it shown a message "Cannot create that domain" when I create ann.abc.com. I was creating Ann account and add this sub-domain in it. So I think this is the major problem that I can't add ann.abc.com in the Domain Administration.

THX !!

You need domain administration at the userlevel for the user owning abc.com. If you can't see it when you log in as that user, then your account is only set up for one domain.

I logined admin account and then goto user level, and than saw a "Domain Administration" button, I clicked this button it goto another new page, the new page has "Add Another Domain" and Change a Domain Name", I clicked "Add Another Domain" to create sub-domain ann.abc.com.

After created ann.abc.com, I used yahoo email to sent an email to ann.abc.com, yahoo returned a failure notice message:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<[email protected]>:
1.2.3.4 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 "Unknown User"
Giving up on 1.2.3.4.

It said no user found at this email address ?

Plz help !

How long did you wait before trying it? It takes a few minutes for it to start working from my experience.

I mean if I add an account at 10:00pm it takes a few minutes for the user account to be working for e-mail... example would be 10:13pm before it works.
