subdomain error...

Hello,

I tried creating a subdomain but this thing happens.

www.sub.domain.com works, gets PING and also loads pages
sub.domain.com does not get registered...

The folder /sub is there and www.domain.com/sub runs as well.

Has anyone got this problem too?

How do you manage your DNS ?

My domains are from www.mydomain.com and I have set my main domain to update the NS servers. I have checked and verified that they work.

After that, I set the NS servers on a test domain to that of what I have placed for my main domain.

Some sub-domains work and some don't... its almost like a random thing...

If you like try pinging :

www.tester.galacticwatch.com
www.tester2.galacticwatch.com
www.tester3.galacticwatch.com
www.tester4.galacticwatch.com

Then try
tester.galacticwatch.com
tester2.galacticwatch.com
tester3.galacticwatch.com
tester4.galacticwatch.com

They all seem to be working for me, albeit I only get Forbidded messages, but not DNS related from my end. Both with and without www.

strange.... is there a time delay or something??
It was not working a few days ago....

Anyway when I was still using a Cobalt and MyDomain, once I set
IP address -> A -> domain.com
any subdomain I create on the server IP address works without playing with the DNS A records.

Does it happen or can it happen this way for directadmin?
